The summer is alright, I mean, I wouldn’t say I hate it, with a passion, I’ve been told ‘hate’ is a strong word, but it always gets too hot and sweaty, specially here in Morocco, and the next thing you know, your makeup's dripping off, and then you're desperately wishing for it to be over, am I right or am I right?!
Here are 5 reasons why I freaking love it when it’s
cold:
Your make up slays
all day:
Let’s be real here, no matter how many ‘heat proof
makeup’ tutorials you watch, whatever primer or fix bla bla bla you’re using, your
make up is going to crease and eventually smear off! You can never work with a
sweaty face, and that ladies, is a FACT! But now that it’s getting a little
bit cooler, my face stays pretty much the same after hours and hours and this
makes me so happy!
You get to stay at home more:
Anyone who knows me personally knows that I’m such an
introvert; and
since people generally tend to spend less time outside in this glorious weather,
I don’t really have to explain myself all the time when I stay at home. This
weather totally makes me want to stay at home curled up in my bed and watching a good movie.
No
mosquitoes:
For a very long
time I’ve been bragging that I never get bitten by mosquitoes, but
this summer, it was a different story, I don’t know what happened? They really
made up for all the years that they’ve been leaving me alone! But now that it’s
getting a little bit cooler, it’s kind of over! They’re not around as much
anymore, I don’t know what happens to them though, do they die and go to hell?!
Maybe I should google it… You know what? I don’t care! For now, I’ll live in
peace.
Clean air:
Aaaahh clean crisp wintery air is my favorite type of
air! Obviously! I love breathing in the cool, fresh air; there’s nothing quite
like it for making me feel alive.
Sweaters and
ankle boots:
Right?
WHAT I WORE:
In february when I arrived to Morocco, in Fes, there were around 20 degrees and I was coming from -14 degrees. I felt like I was in an oven but little did I know back then what will I have to go through in june and july :)) I enjoyed every single day of rain, which have totalized like 3-4 days in almost 6 months, because the weather was getting a little colder. Ah, and I perfectly understand the ‘heat proof makeup’ problem haha
